We’re excited to have you visit the gym – here is what to expect at the gym if you have not visited before:

    • During staff hours we are there to help you set up your day access either on your phone or on the onsite tablet. There will be a waiver to fill out for anyone climbing – those aged 18 and over complete their own waivers.
    • There are no ropes or harnesses in Moncton – it is a bouldering gym with 15 foot walls and a thick protective fall mat. If it is your first time bouldering it is very important to watch our safety video!
    • We have assembled climbing “routes” on the walls to challenge climbers. Don’t worry, there are always routes that will challenge you without being too difficult. Think you are pretty strong? Come see how you do – we have a difficulty chart on the wall and every route is marked where your hands should begin and the markers indicate the difficulty. Once you begin a route, the goal is to only use holds/grips of the same colour until you reached the finish hold that is marked with a piece of tape. The idea is to pretend the other coloured holds/grips are not there – but you can always press against the wall or grab/stand on any plywood volume structures. If you have reached the finish hold with both hands you completed the route – at that point we recommend taking the easiest way down using any coloured holds/grips to be safe.
    • We provide climbing shoes just help yourself and place them in the return bin when finished
    • We STRONGLY recommend warming up on very easy routes before attempting more challenging climbs – you will be able to climb longer this way and reduce the risk of soreness and injury.
    • The workout equipment area and studio room is only for members.
